Past tense by Magdalena Santiago Cruz

The past tense is a verb tense expressing action, activity, state or being in the past of the current moment, or prior to some other event.
For example:
I played tennis yesterday.
We waited a long time for the bus.
To form the negative past tense for all verbs ( except to be ), place did not before the simple form of the verb.The auxiliary did is the same for all persons in the past tense.
The contraction didn´t is generally used.
For example:
I did not stop ( I didn't stop )
We learned many new words yerterday ( We didn´t learn many new words yesterday).
Change to the negative form write the complete verb and subjects. Use the contracted of the auxiliary.

He spoke to me about yesterday

He didn't speak to me about yesterday

She came to the lesson on time

She didn´t come to the lesson on time.

We ate lunch in the cafeteria

We didn´t eat lunch in the cafeteria.
The pas tense of regular verbs is formed by adding ed to the simple form of the verb.

For example:
follow - followed
need- needed

Change the verb of each sentences to the past tense.
walk
arrives
watch learn

When the simple form of the verb ends in y preceded by a consonant, the y is changed to i before adding ed

study-studied
marry-married

PAST TENSE TO BE
I was we,you,they (were)
you are
he ,she, it (was)

For example:
He is agood student
He was a good student

Iam also a good student
I was also a good student

Change to the past tense: write the correct form of the verb.

I am very hungry
This is easy exercise.

THE PODCATS

A podcast is a series of digital media files ( either audio or video) that are released episodically and downloaded through web syndication.

The mode of delivery is what differentiates podcasts from other ways of accessing media files over the internet, such as simple download or streamed webcasts: special client sofware applications known as podcatchers (like itunes, Zune, Juice, and Winamp) are used to automatically identify and download new files in the series when they are released by accessing a centrally-maintained web feed that lists all files associated with the series. New files can thus be downloaded automatically by the podcatcher and stored locally on the user's computer or other device for offine use, giving simpler access to episodic content.

ROBOTS

A robots is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent.In practice, it is usually an electromechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own.Another common characteristic is that by it appearance or movements , a robot often convey a sense that it has intent or egency of its own.

Moder robots are usually used tightly controlled enviroments such as on assembly lines because they have difficulty responding to unexpected interference.Because of this, most people rarely encounter robots

TECHNOLOGY

Technologic is a human innovation in action that inolves the generation of knowledge and processes to develop systems that solve problems and extend human capabilities.

THE AQUARIUM

The aquarium is great place for school classes to visit.First, teachers don´t have to spend their field-trip money for tickets.Admission is free on Tuesday.Also, the aquarium has a lending library.Teachers and students can borrow books, science kits, and other supplies.The best reason, though, is that the aquarium has excellent hands-on exhibits. Students can observe and handle living sea creatures such as horseshoe crabs and starfish.The aquarium knows how to please all its visitors!

MUSIC

Music is great for changing or improving your mood.Listening to dance music on headphones while I jog allows Me to run farther. Playing loud music while I clean My room helps Me plow right throungh the mess!

Some scintists ofter evidence that music can also help you to relax by making your blood pressure fall.Soft music at the dentist played low keeps My Parents cool when They´re fighting traffic.

Whether you want to pick up the pace or slow it down, music can help you find the right speed.

BALSA MUISCA

"By that lake of Guatavita they made a great raft of reeds, decorating it as beautifully as They could (..) VISITED WHALE

May Family and I took a trip on a whaley watching broat.

Every one searched the ocean for whales. At first We saw only other broats. Then a little girls pointed. We spotted three Whales in the distance. Many people used their binoculars. The tall waterspouts from the whales llowholes really impressed Me.

Amazingly the huge, graceful creatures approached our ship.

Them they dived.The ocean water covened their thiny lodies. They disappeared jears filled My eyes.

SUMMER TRIPS

I think summer is the best time of the year to travel because i´t is the time when We are off from school. Of course, if you are thinking about traveling is because you can afford it. So the right way to star is with a plan, one that includes saving money from way before we dare to dream about going somewhere during the summer . Myself, Lonly about traveling to another City but not exactly for having vacations but to look for a job, that way I can kill two birds with one stone, and that way is just what I did las summer. I travelled to Mexican City to find Me a job. And I centarly did so I worked but at the same time I had the oportunity to visit some interesting places in that huge city.

Sometime tha weather didn´t allow Me to do that much because in case you don´t know it rains a lot during in the afternoon in Mexico City . This was sorf of dissapointing because that was the only time. I had for wandering around learn new about life in the big City. Mexican City is afeast for travelers. Visit its beaches and mountains . Learn its fascinating history and culture . I like to visit Mexico City . It´s very interesting and emotion. I hope you can come travel with my friends soon.

MEXICAN PLAYERS

Today , We had another embarrasing soccer match against the US .Why is this happening so often? Is it because Mexican players are not good? Is it because we don`t have a good trainer ?Sadly , the answers to these questions have nothing to do with the Mexican team`s performance.

Even soccer experts will agree that the Mexican players in the national team are of exceptional skills. Some of them play abroad, in Europen teams of high relevanc.One by one, the Mexican players match or even excel their counterparts in any other national team. Then , what is the Mexican tem problem?

Above all,They do not know how to play as a team. Next, They really need to overcome a deep seated mind complex. They think They are so good that They always mess it up at crucial moments

Why do We dream?

I think They are real when We are sleeping.

The dreams occur when We close our eyes and our brain activity peaks.Those who believe this theory say that We dream to exercise the brain. When We awake , our brain constantly transmit and receive messages and keep our body in perpetual motion.Dreams replace this function.Focus on our dreams is how We think in our emotions when We awake.

To dream is connection between dreams and needs.

BEAUTIFUL FOREVER!

My friends think I'm crazy. My Father says I'll never get a job now , and my Mother is worried that I won't get married.However , I'm glad I got a tattoo. Last month, I had a beautiful sun designe tattoed onto the top of my left arm.It's smallish, neat, and feminine. It won't get lost like jewelry or wear out like clothing. Although even when I wear clothing that covers my tattoo, I feel special because I know it's there. It makes me feel unique and confident .I know some people think tattoos are unattractive, but I love the special look of my new symbol.

My classroom

My classroom is big and beautiful.Is well organized and designed.It is in the first floor .The classroom has air conditioning, fans , desk, chairs and trash.It has a blackboard to make annotations or demostrations during class. The chairs are vertical in from to the teacher, so is easy to monitor students for him.The windows are polarized to avoid possible distractions.The desk is well located to observe the students. It has aproximately 40 chairs.It is comfortable and pleasant.

Part time jobs are goog for students

Having a part-time job is a valuable experience for high school students.

They can learn many things that are noy usually taught in a classroom.

For example, they can learn how to work with older people.

They also get experience with the business world.

Having a part-time job geves students a sense of independence.

They can also earn money to use for college.

Education is more that just school subjects.

Learning about the real world is also important.

What my first job taugh me.

My firts job was as sales clerk in a small clothing shop.It wasn't a difficult job, and it wasn't really a very interesting job.Every weekend I had to open the store at 10:00 a.m..I couldn't be late.I learned how to choose and order new clothing.Dreesing neatly and professionally was an important part og the job.I helped customers find clothes, and I kept the store neat and clean.I used the cas register and handled credit cards, so I had to be very careful.These things all taugh me responsability. I don't work with clothing anymore, but I still use that important skill I learned in my first job.
